City of University Place Police Station

Situated under the existing Market Place Civic Center Building and adjacent to an underground parking garage, this 7,600 s.f. facility was meticulously designed to fit within existing grades and access points with minimal height clearances and accessibility challenges.

The second floor structure was minimized to allow a second level for offices and a training room.  The second floor needed to align with the garage floor to allow access to the garage elevator in order to provide accessible access to the non-public spaces on the second floor.

Unique features include:

• 2-story height officer and work area and public lobby.
• Steel stair and cable railing to second floor admin offices from the officer and work area.
• Interior glass wall system to allow daylight into interior hallway and offices.
• Curved glass curtain wall using tinted and reflective glass coating which provides visual and projectile security for officers using the workroom.
